Janet Jo Nemeth McIntosh, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born June 6, 1942 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Janet Rockis Nemeth.
Janet was a graduate of Morgantown High School and also graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in accounting.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and was an award-winning quilter. She also was an activist for animal rights.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Alan Loring and Joseph C. Loring.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Virginia Nemeth.
Friends and family will be received in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Sunday, March 8, from 1-3 p.m. Following the visitation, cremation services will be provided at a later time.
