MORGANTOWN — West Virginia baseball can’t catch a break as of late. The Mountaineers announced their game at Marshall for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, has been canceled due to inclement weather.
The game against the Thundering Herd was supposed to be in place of the two-game series against Radford, which was scheduled for March 3 and 4. Without the game against Marshall, the Mountaineers’ next game will be on March 6 for the first game of the three-game series against Columbia at home. First pitch is set for 2 p.m., and you can catch the game on ESPN+ for those not making the game.
This week’s adjustments aren’t the first this season. WVU changed the date and opponent for its home opener from Canisius to Ohio a week ago. The Mountaineers beat the Bobcats 19-6. WVU also had a couple of its first series flexed into doubleheaders due to weather as well.
