Donald Ray McClure, Jr.

Donald Ray “Don” “Bubby” McClure, Jr., 63, of Masontown, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, in his home. He was born November 27, 1962, in Morgantown, a son of the late Donald Ray McClure, Sr. and Marilyn Jean Nuce McClure.
Don was a loving son, brother, cousin and friend. He graduated from West Preston High School Class of 1981.
In his younger years Don loved to ride dirt bikes and snowmobiles with family and friends. He was always looking for a hill to climb or mud hole to run through. Don always enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was camping, hunting or fishing in the peace of nature. He spent countless hours at the family cabin; it was there he found peace and tranquility. Family cookouts were also something very important to him, spending time with his parents, siblings and niece and nephew.
Don was a hard worker and was always offering help to anyone in need. For a short time, he drove a truck for his father, Don McClure, Sr., at McClure Trucking. He then worked at Sterling Faucet for several years and was a supervisor for Parrotta Paving.
In his retirement, Don dedicated his life to making sure his parents were cared for and maintaining their property.
Don is survived by two sisters, Lydotta McClure Taylor and husband Larry of Morgantown, and Alisa McClure Arnett of Rivesville; niece, Kayla Marie Taylor Benson and husband Chad; and nephew, Cameron Dale Taylor and fiancee Cassie Stauffer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane McClure; paternal grandparents, C.W. Luther and Alta Cale McClure; maternal grandparents, Howard W. and Pauline Lucille Metheny Nuce; and brothers-in-law, Dave Blaney and Roger Arnett.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown Sunday, February 22, from 1 until the 3 p.m. time of service, with the Rev. Dr. David Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
