Michael Adrian, 73, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026. He was born March 13, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Herbert J. Adrian and Mafalda A. Adrian.
Michael was raised in Romney, and graduated from Hampshire High School in 1970.
He built a dedicated career in the medical and pharmaceutical field, working with Mylan Pharmaceuticals for over 10 years while also owning and operating his own business, Horizon Medical Technologies. He took pride in his work and was known for his steady commitment and reliability.
A family-centered man, Michael carried a deep and abiding love for those closest to him. He especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren and was happiest when surrounded by family. He will also be dearly missed by his loyal canine companion, Maize.
Michael is survived by his wife of 23 years, Gayla Adrian of Morgantown; his children, Chelaine Furgason and husband Samuel of Morgantown, Carleen Garrett of Morgantown, Jaclyn Rycyna and husband Dr. Kevin Rycyna of Wexford, Nick Adrian and wife Lauren of Pittsburgh, and Aaron Adrian of Cranberry Township; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Furgason, Audrey Furgason, Garrett Furgason, Madeline Rycyna, Nathan Rycyna, Brooklyn Rycyna, Jake Adrian, Ellie Adrian, Ethan Adrian, Henry Adrian, and Nora Adrian; and his siblings, Herb Adrian and wife Sandee of Romney, Glenn Adrian and wife Susan of Morgantown, Karen Adrian of Romney, and Kevin Adrian and wife Lisa of Morgantown; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Christine Adrian.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, February 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 South High Street, Morgantown, WV 26501. A gathering will continue from 10 until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Monday, February 16, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1 Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, WV 26508, with the Rev. Monsignor Anthony Cincinnati, STD as celebrant. Michael will rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
