Dolores Irene Haun went to be with her Lord Sunday, February 8, 2026, at age 90, surrounded by her family in her daughter’s home. She was born April 9, 1935 in Weston, to the late Clifford Rex and Dovie Bell Heater McKinney.
Dolores graduated from Morgantown High School in 1954 and worked at Murphy’s Five and Ten.
She married the love of her life, Donald Dee Haun, October 26, 1956. They worked hard to build a home in Brown’s Chapel, where Dolores was very active with the Brown’s Halleck Community Association. She also worked part time in the West Virginia University Student ID office.
She loved attending Goshen Baptist Church and would sometimes play the harmonica during service.
She made the best macaroni and cheese ever! Also, she absolutely loved her grandson and great-grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dee Haun; grandson, Steven Michael Sisler; and an infant sister.
Dolores is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna Haun Sisler and her husband, pastor Bob of Morgantown; her granddaughter-in-law, Angie Marie Sisler; along with her adored great- grandchildren, Leah Marie and Adam Christopher Sisler; and stepgreat-grandson, Luke Ryan Lemasters, all of Morgantown; close cousins, Norma Sowers, Mary Husted, Verna Baca, and many other beloved cousins; close niece, Leslie (Carpenter) Miller; and several other beloved nieces.
Friends and family will be received in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Wednesday, February 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation will continue in Goshen Baptist Church, 1070 Goshen Road, Morgantown, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Dolores will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Morgantown.
