MORGANTOWN — A 78-year-old man was struck by tractor-trailer Tuesday morning in downtown Morgantown.
According to information shared by the city, the man was walking against traffic signals at the intersection of Pleasant and High streets when he was struck at 8:26 a.m.
The Morgantown Police Department reported that after the pedestrian was hit, the truck driver briefly rendered aid until the MPD, Morgantown Fire Department and Monongalia EMS began arriving at the scene.
The pedestrian was transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
No one has been charged, and the incident remains under investigation.
