Jeffrey Neil “Jeff” “Otis” Osecky went to be with his Lord Wednesday, December 31, 2025, after a long illness. He gave strength and love to all whom he touched. He was born in Bradford, Pa., November 17, 1958, a son of the late Stanley and Jean Osecky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Osecky.
Jeff worked many years at Davis and Lynch Glass, and also for many years at Ruby Memorial Hospital in the Facilities Department, where formed many friendships.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He also loved to get together with the guys and play cards. His greatest joy was spending all of his time with his son, Jeffrey “Jeffy” H. Osecky. He said when God gave him Jeffy, he didn’t ever need to give him anything more.
Jeffy never left his dad’s side during his last days. When Jeff passed, he was surrounded by his surviving siblings and a nephew including: Todd Osecky and wife Sandy; Chuck Osecky and wife Pam; Jeffrey’s fiancee, Haylie Trapp; his nephew, Matt Osecky; and Jeffrey’s mom, Billie Jo “BJ” Tennant, to whom Jeff was married for over 30 years. BJ became an essential caregiver to Jeff over the last year, always making sure that he had whatever he needed.
Jeff also has several nieces and nephews, whom he loved and worried about including, Kristopher Osecky and wife Chelsea, Matthew Osecky, Dillon Osecky, Reagan Osecky, Charlie Osecky.
Rest in peace Otis. You are with God now.
A very special thanks goes out to the hospice nurses, Mindy, and especially Danica, who was with the family at 1:19 p.m. December 31, 2025, when Jeff left this world.
There will be no public funeral or visitation.
A graveside committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 5, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mt. Morris, Pa.
