Woodrow Wayne Wagner, 88, of Masontown, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Mon Health Medical Center.
He was born in Masontown September 22, 1937, a son of the late James David and Mary Davis Wagner.
Wayne was a beloved father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed being outdoors, doing anything he was able to.
Wayne worked several different types of jobs, from running heavy equipment, doing construction and farming to working at Daughtery Coal Company and C&M Electric.
He could hold a conversation with anyone, telling stories and visiting with people brought him great joy. Wayne also enjoyed just getting in his truck and going for a drive.
Wayne is survived by three sons, Woodrow Orson Wagner and wife Debra of Reedsville, David Wagner of Jane Lew, and Craig Wagner of Morgantown; grandchildren, Kirk Wagner and wife Sara Beth, and Clint Wagner and fiancee Shirley; three great- granddaughters, Viera, Carma and Olivia; a brother, Randy Wagner of Masontown; one sister, JoAnn Rowan and husband Bernard of Reedsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beckie Louise Raplee Wagner; an infant sister, Geneva Wagner; and two sisters, Lou Shackelford and Bonnie Hatcher.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home Monday, December 22, from 5 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, December 23, from noon until the 1 p.m. time of service, with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Interment will be in Pratt Cemetery.
