Naomi Josephine Riffle

Naomi Josephine Riffle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
Born in Everettville, on August 31, 1940, she was a daughter to the late Marion William Miller and Sarah Rosella Karnes Miller and the cherished wife of the late Sherman Riffle, Sr.
Naomi dedicated her life to her family, creating a home filled with warmth and affection. Her care extended beyond her immediate family, touching all those who came to know her. As a homemaker, Naomi was the heart of the Riffle household, a place where laughter and support were always abundant.
Her life was a testament to resilience and grace, having witnessed the passing of her sisters, Virginia Rhodaheaver and Rose Marie Miller; and brothers: George Miller, Homer Stanley Miller, Clarence Miller and Willard Miller. Yet, she remained a pillar of strength for her surviving sister, Jean Carmody; her children: Sarah Stiles (Jim), Marian Sine (Dave), Sherman Riffle, Jr. (Dreama) and Kevin Riffle (Debbie). Her love also blossomed for her grandchildren: Melissa Chisler, Stacy Jordan, Zachary Sine, James Stiles, Pam Hilley, Brittany Barnes, Jay Riffle, Josh Riffle and Alicia Eddy; and flowed through to her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.
Naomi’s interests were as varied as they were abundant. Her involvement in community and association activities showcased her commitment to service and her passion for bringing people together. Those who knew Naomi will remember her as the embodiment of love – her presence was a comfort, her smile a reassurance, and her wisdom a guide.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Naomi’s remarkable life at McCulla Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 8, and will resume at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rose Saunders officiating.
