MORGANTOWN – Shortly after midnight Saturday, Monongalia County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call with reports of a firearm and shots fired located on Ed Dunn Road, according to a sheriff’s department statement.
Upon arrival at the scene, the suspect opened fire on the deputies present.
The suspect and another individual, identified as a victim in the incident, were both transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. The condition of those individuals is unknown currently. No other injuries occurred on scene.
As this is an active and ongoing investigation, no further information or details regarding the identities of those involved are available at this time.
