Mary Lou Blosser, also known as Nana, 80, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully Wednesday night, November 26, 2025.
She was born in Smithtown May 6, 1945, a daughter of the late Homer and Lena Pearl Kendall Brown, the 12th child of 12 kids.
Mary was the owner of a cleaning company and serviced multiple businesses. She was also a wife, mother, nana and great-nana.
Mary was a prolific quilter and gifted many of her works to caregivers.
In addition to four siblings, Mary is survived by her husband of 16 years, Dennis Blosser, of Morgantown; three children, who were her best friends, Michele and Rick Stuckey of Barrackville, Nelson Ray Layman of Clarksburg, and Tammy Jo Akers of Morgantown. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher A. Hooten, Michael S. Stuckey, Mary E. Borgan, Britt E. Mattatall, and Theresa L. Mattatall, and great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Hooten, James Stuckey, Wyatt Stuckey, Maria Mattatall, Jackie Mardis, Ryan Stuckey, and Jared Mardis.
Mary is also survived by her stepdaughter, Tammy McDonald; stepson, Dennis (Tara) Blosser; stepgrandchildren, Ceanna and Eric Nicholson, Chris McDonald, Makayla (Daniel) Vernon; and great-great-granddaughter Tagan Nicholson.
The family would like to express its heartfelt appreciation for the staff at Mon Health for taking good care of Nan before her passing.
Family and friends may attend a celebration of Mary’s life from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6, in Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Avenue, Fairmont.
