Richard D. Johnson

Richard D. Johnson, 86, of Morgantown, passed away at WVU Hospital Saturday, October 11, 2025. Richard was born in Mt. Morris, Pa., January 6, 1939, to John S. Johnson and Garnet L. Scragg Johnson.
Richard graduated from MHS in 1956 and married Patricia Warsewich in 1958. In the early 1960s, he moved his family to Maryland and completed his BS in Accounting at Ben Franklin University.
He retired as director of accounting from BAE Systems in Maryland and retired to Haines City, Fla. before returning to Morgantown in 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 67 years; their children, Carol, Kimberly, Richard Jr.; grandchildren, Tyler Adams, Brittany (Beau) Lockard; several brothers- and sisters-in-law and cousins, as well as several nieces and nephews and life-long friends.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and spending quality time with family and friends. He is greatly missed.
