An electric bicycle “exploded” in an apartment at Marjorie Gardens on Wednesday evening, sending multiple fire crews to the scene of the complex on Dorsey Lane, reports said.
Ladder trucks from the Morgantown Fire Department and Brookhaven VFD were on the scene of the blaze, which happened around 5:20 p.m.
The fire was reportedly contained to the one apartment, with no other damages apparent to other units there.
A person reportedly suffered burns and was transported to the hospital – but the extent of the victim’s injuries wasn’t immediately known.
The fire remains under investigation.
