Mabel Samus

Mabel Samus, 104, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she had resided since 2015.
She was born in Point Marion, and was a graduate of Point Marion High School.
Mabel married her high school sweetheart, George Samus, and they shared a loving and caring partnership for 79 years. She and George enjoyed family, travel, and their life together in West Virginia.
Mabel prioritized her family and was a devoted wife, homemaker, and thoughtful and loving mother to three children. She actively supported the many organizations and activities in which her children participated and always encouraged them in their endeavors.
Mabel is survived by sons, Charles and John; daughter, Roseann; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.
The family would like to thank Mabel’s special caregiver, Jennifer Pruitt and the nurses and aides from Rolling Meadows for their care and kindness.
A private family service and interment will be held in Uniontown.
