Patricia Schlesinger, 79, of Green Valley, Ariz., passed away peacefully Monday, October 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Patricia Ann Herrington to Charles “Buck” Herrington and Catherine Herrington March 28, 1946, in Monroe, La.
Patricia grew up in Morgantown and attended Saint Francis High School, graduating in 1964. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, dedicating her career to caring for others.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mel Schlesinger; her son, Jeff Nizlek; her daughter, Julie Lanigan (Patrick), and their daughter Riley; her brother, Gary Herrington (Colleen), and their two sons, Adam and Nathan; her sister, Cathy Drzal (Jeremy), and Cathy’s son, Ben Kercheval.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Herrington, who is survived by her two children, Matthew Mohler and Katie Cross.
Patricia’s wishes were for no memorial service or viewing.
