Robert King

Robert “Bob” King, 72, of Lake O’ Woods, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in WVU Medicine – JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born May 25, 1953, in New Martinsville, a son of the late Lloyd and Evelyn Parks King.
He graduated from Magnolia High School in New Martinsville in 1971 as the salutatorian.
He moved to Baytown, Texas in 1975, starting at the Bayer plant as a construction worker, then lab tech, chemist, and before retiring after over 40 years he was an industrial hygienist.
He married Kay Lemasters Davis August 14, 2014.
He is survived by his queen and loving wife, Kay; his son, Timothy; and stepsons, Chad, Daniel, and Brian.
Friends may join the family to honor Bob’s life and legacy at a viewing at the family residence, located at 85 Eagles Nest Road, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525, by the lake that he loved so much, Sunday, October 19, from 1 until his celebration of life at 4 p.m. Following the service, Bob will be carried on his trusty side-by-side to Lake O’ Woods Cemetery, where committal rites will be offered.
