MORGANTOWN — Construction of West Virginia’s second Dave & Buster’s location is underway in the WestRidge Business & Retail Park.
WestRidge President Ryan Lynch confirmed construction on the building began this week.
The multifaceted business is expected to be completed and open next fall.
“We’re thrilled to officially welcome Dave & Buster’s to the WestRidge development and North Central West Virginia,” Lynch said. “This exciting addition will bring a blend of interactive entertainment and gaming experiences, a full-service restaurant, and a dynamic sports bar to the greater Morgantown market.”
While the entertainment franchise’s local ambitions were first reported last fall, Lynch said WestRidge has been working with Dave & Buster’s for several years to explore various location and building designs.
The Dave & Buster’s site is situated in the area near Menards and Academy Sports & Outdoors – the latter of which opened in June.
Lynch said the final building design merges the company’s latest prototype – which includes enhanced entertainment offerings – with WestRidge specific branded design.
According to talking points from a company spokesperson, the building will become Morgantown’s “ultimate destination to eat, drink, play, and watch sports – all under one roof,” featuring hundreds of arcade games, immersive sports viewing on “massive HDTV walls” and dozens of oversized screens, a chef-crafted menu and handcrafted drinks.
The chain boasts more than 175 locations across the U.S. plus two in Canada, two in India and one under construction in The Philippines. It opened its first West Virginia location in the Huntington Mall in August 2024.
McKeesport, Pa.-based ABS Building Systems Integrators has been contracted to build the project according to a social media post shared by the company.

The new Dave & Buster’s location is one of a number of projects either underway, nearing completion or slated to begin within the WestRidge development in the coming months.
According to information provided by Lynch, a new Panera Bread location as well as a First United Bank & Trust branch are currently under construction and will open later this year.
Additionally, two new hotels are in the planning and design stage and are expected to be under construction in early 2026.
“[Dave & Buster’s] represents the latest in a growing list of national retailers choosing WestRidge as their entry point into North Central West Virginia – joining Bass Pro Shops, Academy Sports, HomeGoods, and close to 500,000 square feet of total new retail openings within the last five years,” Lynch said. “Dave & Buster’s presence further validates our vision for WestRidge as a premier destination for retail, dining and entertainment, and we look forward to sharing more about their planned entertainment experiences, as well as celebrating a grand opening in the second half of next year.”
