John J. Petronis, 82, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
John spent 55 years in Morgantown, dedicating himself to his family and the development of the Physical Therapy Department at West Virginia University.
In addition, he earned induction into multiple Athletic Halls of Fame for his athletic achievements.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; brother, Robert; his two children, Jason and Aliesha; his late daughter, Alanna’s family; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services at 1 p.m. October 4, at Okey Patterson Auditorium, WVU Health Sciences North Building, 1 Medical Center Drive. A reception will follow outside the auditorium.
