Richard James Barzanti Jr.

Richard James “Rick” Barzanti Jr., 66, of Dilliner, died unexpectedly Monday, September 8, 2025, in his home. Born in Morgantown, W.Va. on Feb. 19, 1959, he was a son of the late Margaret “Peggy” Courtney and Richard J. Barzanti, Sr.
A 1977 graduate of Mapletown High School, Rich also honorably served in the United States Navy from 1985 – 89. He retired several years ago as an information technology specialist with the Mon General Hospital and HealthSouth Rehab Center.
He is survived by his brother, William Barzanti and wife, Kerryann of Dilliner; he was the favorite “Uncle Rick” and always looked out for his three nephews: Alexander, Santino and Vincenzo; several cousins and their families; and many friends. Always the life of any party, Rich will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Deceased is his brother, Michael, in 2018.
Friends and family will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 27. Private interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Davistown.
