Alice Marie Guminey Carder, 83, of Morgantown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Alice was born January 6, 1942 in Preston County, WV. She loved hunting and fishing with her son, husband, and family. Every Friday she enjoyed BINGO at the senior center in the Mountaineer Mall. Alice also adored spending time with her granddaughter, great-grandson, and great-granddaughter.
Alice is survived by her loving and caring husband of 64 years Richard Carder, Sr.; her granddaughter Amy Boden and husband William; great-grandchildren William Boden II and McKinley Boden; daughter-in-law Tammy Carder; brothers Henry ‘Sonny’ Guminey and wife Sharon, Robert Guminey and wife Karen; sisters Debbie Wilis, Karen Guminey, and Pammy Guminey; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Minetta and Henry Guminey, and her one and only son Richard Carder, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and again on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeremiah Bostic officiating. Alice will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
