Duwayne A. “Tooter” Hoskins, 72, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 2, 1952, in Morgantown, to the late Raymond Paul and Mina Elaine Ayersman Hoskins.
Tooter proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later worked as a truck driver for J&J Trucking and C&R Trucking, hauling limestone from Greer and coal for Consol.
He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria “Vicki” Hoskins and her daughter, Amanda Tennant; sisters, Sandy (Melvin) Liston, Jane (Butch) Banks, Tonya Kerns; mother-in-law, Wanda Friend; sister-in- law, Cindy (Tim) Hart; brothers-in-law, Brian (Sherri) Friend, Ken Friend and Bob England.
Also surviving are his former wife, Sally Hoskins; his stepdaughters, Robin (Ric) RenQuest, and Cheryl (Eric) Schubel; and his cherished grandson, Max Schubel; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert F. “Bobby” Hoskins, Raymond R. Hoskins Jr., and Janet “Cookie” England; as well as his beloved fur babies, Gracie and Molly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made through donations to assist them in the days ahead.
Family and friends will be received in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18. A reception will be held to share stories and memories at Stepping Stones, 400 Mylan Park, Morgantown, at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20. Also, all are invited for a graveside committal service that will take place at East Oak Grove Cemetery, Dorsey Avenue, Morgantown, at 10 a.m. Monday, July 21.
