Michael Stanley Winters Sr.

Michael “Mike” Stanley Winters, Sr., 63, of Morgantown, went peacefully to the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2025, with his loving wife and family by his side.
He was born March 6, 1962, the son of the late Frederick George Winters and Martha Jane Smith Winters.
Mike was an amazing, loving, gentle, kind-hearted and selfless man. As children, we are told not to talk to strangers-Mike knew no strangers. Everyone who was blessed to know him knew he would give the shirt off his back if you needed it.
He was employed by DJ Trucking, where his boss, Danny “DJ” Johnson, was also one of his best friends. Mike’s favorite hobby was traveling, and the family is happy to share that he was able to enjoy one last vacation to Pigeon Forge before his passing.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Deborah Jean Pitman Winters; daughter, BillieJane “BJ”; son, Michael Jr. “Mikey” and his fiancee, Stacey; grandchildren: Nicki, Tyler, Kelly, Micaiah, Stacey, Brynlee, Nick, Noah, Alyssa, Ayden, Abryella, Adalyn and Anderson; and great-grandchildren: Mia, Greyson and unborn grandson, Blake.
Mike is also survived by his siblings: sister, Ellen and her husband, Jim Ritchie, and their daughter, Heather of Pennsylvania; sister, Patricia and her husband, Jim Kifer, and their children, Paula and Jimmy; and sister, Debra Bennett and her son, Keith, of Morgantown. He is also remembered by his former daughter-in-law, Chrystal Price and by James Trivett, whom he considered a son.
He was welcomed through the gates of heaven by his parents; sister, Sharon; nephew, Bernard; and grandson, Trenton.
Family and friends will gather at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 4 until the time of funeral services at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, with Pastor James Trivett officiating. The family will honor Mike’s request for cremation. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
