Richard Allen Forquer, 75, of Core, passed away at 7:25 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesburg. He was born October 10, 1949, in Core, a son of the late Gilbert Rae Forquer and Jennie Pawlak Forquer.
He was member of the U.S. Army, having served from August 5, 1969 until March 12, 1971.
Richard attended the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God.
He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association, the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 and former member of the Mount Morris Sportsman’s Association.
Richard loved rebuilding and restoring automobiles.
He worked as a coal miner for 27-1/2 years for Humphrey Mine.
His wife, Dianna Bennett Forquer, whom he married March 26, 1970, survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Susette Davies and companion Jeff Shisler of Core; one son, Rodney Forquer and companion Venessa Poling of Core; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; four sisters; five brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 324 Mount Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mount Morris, PA 15349, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, with Pastor Joseph Adams officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, PA 15349, Shane M. Ayers, managing director. Graveside military rites to be accorded by the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 and active members of the U.S. Army.
