Lula Catherine Lewis Barnett

Lula Catherine Lewis Barnett, 91, of Kingwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 27, 1934, in Grafton, daughter of the late Henry Sylvester and Anna Elizabeth Lewis.
Catherine was a graduate of Kelly Miller High School in Clarksburg, and had worked for Mountaineer Contracting as a housekeeper. She loved watching baseball, especially the WVU baseball team.
Catherine was a loving grandmother, even sharing the Hallmark Channel with her grandkids.
Catherine is survived by two sons, Charles Barnett (Michele) and Kenneth Barnett, both of Kingwood; four daughters: JoAnna Bussey and Lisa Barnett, both of Kingwood, Hattie Jolliffe and Katherine Holyfield (William), both of Fairmont; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, French Bennett Barnett Sr.; two sons, French Barnett Jr. and Carl Barnett; one grandson, William Davis Holyfield; two brothers, Richard Lewis and Bill Lewis; two sisters, Anna Stewart and Barbara Patterson; and one son-in-law, Terry E. Jolliffe.
Family and friends will be received at the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral hour on Thursday, June 12. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood.
