Bobby James Graves, 52, of Albright (Hudson community), passed away unexpectedly in his home Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The son of Larry and Katie Graves of Lowell, Ind., he was born March 10, 1973, in Clovis, N.M.
In 1991, Bobby graduated from Lowell Baptist School, and in 1997, he graduated from Hyles-Anderson College.
He was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Kingwood, and loved his church family. He was kind, hardworking, had a good sense of humor, and got along with everybody.
Bobby was a telecommunication technician and loved his Westside work family. He enjoyed woodworking and riding his ATV.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his wife, Dawn Marie Cady Graves; four wonderful nieces; two wonderful nephews; his grandmother, Marie Graves, of Arkansas; a sister-in-law and her husband, Julia Graves Winters and Darren of South Carolina; mother- in-law, Sue Cady of Albright; many great- nieces, nephews and cousins; and many aunts and uncles.
Preceding Bobby in death were an infant child; his grandfather, James Graves; a brother, Charlie Graves (the late husband of Julia Winters); and father- in-law, Fred Cady.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the service at 12 noon Saturday, June 7, in the Independent Baptist Church in Kingwood, 917 N. Preston Highway, with Pastor Terry Cumberland officiating.
Dinner will follow in the fellowship room at the church.
Graveside services will be at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown, at 1 p.m. Monday, June 9.
The family has entrusted Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills with funeral arrangements.
