Ivan Lee McMillen Sr., 89, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
He was born June 12, 1935, in Masontown, a son of the late Harvey McMillen and Hesper “Luce” McMillen Taylor.
Ivan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. The love he shared with his wife, Frances was beyond measure.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He worked as a supervisor for US Gypsum in Niles, Ohio.
He loved to play cards and shuffleboard. Ivan was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the WVU Mountaineers.
He is survived by his son, Ivan Lee McMillen, Jr.; two stepdaughters, Lisa Russey and husband Craig, and Janice Maher; stepson, Dee Roby;
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Ila Jo McMillen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances McMillen; son, Rodney McMillen; infant twins; two stepsons, James Maher, Sr. and Richard Maher; four sisters, Merna Denkenberger, Hesper Breese, Betty Dudley and Joyce Gill; four brothers, Howard McMillen, Clyne McMillen, Robert McMillen and Elvin McMillen.
To honor Ivan’s wishes, he will be cremated with no services at this time. He will be laid to rest with his loving wife, Frances, at the Masontown Cemetery in Masontown, W.Va.
