Mary Frances Likens Johnson, 83, of Hepzibah, formerly of Terra Alta, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, in her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born March 2, 1942, in St. George, a daughter of the late Delbert Nelson Likens and Anna Margarete Hebb Likens.
Her husband, Marshall S. Johnson, preceded her in death. They were united in marriage June 9, 1969.
Mary attended Frankfort Pilgrim College and was a homemaker. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed embroidery, but most important to her was her family and her Lord; she was a devoted Christian.
Surviving are one daughter, Heather L. (Bill) Dukich of Hepzibah; and one sister, Evelyn Groves, of Albright.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Marshall Stuart Johnson, who passed in 1981.
Friends may call in the Terra Alta Funeral Home, 1112 W. State Avenue, from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Visitation continues in the funeral home from 1 until the hour of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, with the Rev. David Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Terra Alta Cemetery.
