The stubborn streak that defined Charles E. “Weasel” Foyles’s life finally gave way to peaceful rest Saturday, May 10, 2025. Born April 22, 1949, he was a son of the late Cecil and Audrey Crowe Foyles.
A 1967 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, he served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
Weasel was a coal miner, retired from Arkwright #1, a member of the United Mine Workers of America, and the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Point Marion.
An avid fisherman, his best catch was the love of his life, Rose Urbania Foyles, his wife of 43 years, whom he married April 30, 1982.
Also surviving are his daughter, Amanda Craig and husband Billy of Mount Morris, Pa.: brothers, Ken and Roger Keith Foyles; sisters, Kathy Corob and Brenda Smith; his sister-in-law, Carol Urbania, brothers- in-law, Butch and Jimmy Urbania; and his faithful little canine baby girl, “Rosie”.
Deceased are two siblings, Doug Foyles and Linda Clark.
Instead of mourning, we encourage everyone to have a laugh and raise a glass in memory of Weasel. A celebration of life “Pop goes the Weasel” party will be held at a later date.
Special thanks are extended to Robin Rosnick of Amedisys Hospice for the care and concern shown to Weasel during his illness.
Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion.
Condolences for his family may be posted at www.herod-rishel.com
