Wanda Lee Shaver, 92, formally of Morgantown, passed away peacefully, in her residence in Wellington, Fla., Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was born January 25, 1933, in Clarksburg, a daughter of Gilbert and Myrl Morrison.
She is survived by her two daughters, Diana Williams and Joetta Palumbo; a son, Harold “Swifty” Shaver (Sherran); a sister, Barbara Hofer; brother, William Morrison; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Shawn Williams, Robert Williams Jr., Jackie Richardson, David Shaver, Ron Shaver, Anthony Palumbo, Ashley Capparelli, Jennifer Chipps, Jonna Santana; 11 great- grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Junior Harold Shaver; infant son, Ronald Lee Shaver; her brothers, Charles, Gilbert; sisters, Catherine, Joan; sons-in- law, John Palumbo, Robert K. Williams, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Ken Hofer; sister-in-law, Kay Morrison.
Wanda was an amazing mother. She obtained her realtors license, hairstylist license and went to business college. At Milan Pharmaceuticals she was a worker, a boss and executive secretary in the penicillin plant.
In retirement, she was a volunteer police reserve for the Monongalia County Sheriffs Office driving lead patrol for funerals.
Inurnment will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Mausoleum at a later date.
