Donald Leon “Don” Drain, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 65, in his home. Born February 1, 1960, in Morgantown, he was a son of the late Paul and Mildred Steele Drain.
Don was a quiet man who spoke little, but those he welcomed into his life knew his heart was full of care and loyalty. He found joy in fishing and treasured time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him great happiness.
He is survived by his children, Donald L. Drain Jr., Denise L. Drain, Eric S. Drain, Christopher L. Drain, and Kevin W. Drain; his brothers, Jack Drain and Robert Drain; and his best friend and nephew, Ronnie Drain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Darius, Ronald, Dolly, Pauline and Frances.
Don will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he lived a quiet life, his love and presence left a lasting impact on those around him.
In accordance with his wishes, Don will be cremated, and his ashes will be lovingly scattered at his favorite fishing spot, where he found peace, solitude and joy.
