Larry Thomas McDonald, 67, of Morgantown, affectionately known as Radar to his family and many friends, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, in his residence. He born December 30, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Radar brought joy and warmth to those around him. His love for his family and friends was evident in all he did.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaylee Christian and husband Joseph, and their daughter, Keira of Milton, Fla.; his mother, Florence Leighty of Morgantown; and several other extended family members.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence McDonald; and his siblings, Cheryl Stevens and Joseph Lemasters.
Friends may join the family to honor Radar’s life and legacy in Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Avenue, Westover (304) 292-9494, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, April 25.
As a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, following the funeral service, Radar will be cremated and inurned, with Full Military Honors at West Virginia National Cemetery at a later date.
