Mary Ann Kelly Phillips passed Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Jane Lew.
Mary Ann was born October 2, 1933, in Morgantown, to parents Frank M. Kelly and Anne Cornelius Kelly.
She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1951, later attending West Virginia University for a few years while working for the Alumni Association.
She met the love of her life, G. Richard Phillips, and married December 4, 1960.
She and Dick had DP Photographic in Westover. She also worked in retail for many years starting with Stone & Thomas, Elder-Beerman, then finally at BonTons.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, cross-stitch and the occasional martini to end the day. She enjoyed collecting bears and watering cans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her dear brother, Jerry; and her son, Rick.
Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are daughters, Mary Elaine “Marti” Watkins (Jim), and Sharon Lee Cruikshank (Steve); grandchildren, Morgan Ryan Cruikshank, Mary Elizabeth Watkins (Jared Trusso), Michael Roy Cruikshank (Casey); great-grandchildren, Madeliene Rey and Luthian Victoria; sister- in-law, Gloria Kelly; nephew, Mike Kelly; nieces, Christy Yaffe (Peter), Linda Milovich (David); and nephew, Scott Phillips (Laurie).
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of one’s choice.
