Angela Katherine Hollandsworth

Dr. Angela Katherine Hollandsworth passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, in her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was 47 years old.
Born October 5, 1977, in Kansas, Angela lived a life defined by compassion, brilliance, and deep dedication to others.
She is survived by her mother, Glenda Hollandsworth; stepfather, Michael Welshans; sister, Shelly Glass and brother-in-law, Albert Glass; and her beloved nieces, Talia and Jordan Glass.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hollandsworth.
Angela had many cousins, aunts, and uncles who cared for her deeply and remained close throughout her life. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded with love and care from many, but she especially cherished the sisterhood found in her deep friendships with Donna Walters, Laura Harrington, Moira Goff- Taylor, Jessica Shockley Kimes and Korinna Lark, and the warmth of their extended families. Her loss is palpable not only within her family but throughout the community she touched with her compassion, intellect, and unwavering dedication.
Angela graduated from Morgantown High School in West Virginia and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University in 1999. Committed to lifelong learning and advancing the nursing profession, she went on to complete dual Master’s degrees in Nursing and Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In 2016, she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from George Washington University, a testament to her unrelenting drive and deep passion for healthcare.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hollandsworth earned and maintained multiple certifications, always striving to bring excellence to her work.
Given her connection with her dad, a U.S. Army veteran, her professional life was dedicated to serving veterans and championing causes that improved the health and well-being of communities. She led with a giving and caring passion for life and found joy in the company of others who matched her energy and values—especially in nursing, family, and travel.
Angela explored much of the world, visiting most continents, and she adored her loyal Westie companions. She was preceded in passing by her beloved pups, Molly and Bentley, and her dear Oliver was faithfully by her side at the time of her passing. She had a deep love for elephants, reflecting her gentle strength and wisdom.
A celebration of Angela’s life will be held privately at a later date.
