Billy Joe Eddy, 86, of Daybrook, died Saturday, April 12, 2025, in his residence.
He was born July 28, 1938, in Daybrook, a son of the late Terry Eddy and Lelia McCord Eddy.
Billy worked as a construction and iron worker.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Mason Eddy; two sons, Jacob Eddy and wife Teresa of Blacksville, Stanley Eddy and wife Donna of Reedsville; three daughters, Mary Tennant and husband Gary of Daybrook, Rose Kennedy and husband Bob of Bula, and Bonnie Simms and husband Sam of Daybrook; three brothers, Fay Eddy of Daybrook, Melvin Eddy of Wadestown, and Ora and wife Venessa Eddy of Daybrook; one sister, Donna Lemmon of Holbrook; 13 grandchildren; 42 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Jacob Blaine Eddy, Iva Roupe, Ann Wright, Barbara White, and Amelia Polansky; and two great- grandchildren, Delphia Melcher and Willow Grace Tennant.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in the Owen- Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, with Jason Tennant officiating. Interment will follow in the Brewer Cemetery.
