Izetta Jean Smith Goff, 89, of Kingwood, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, in New Horizon Assisted Living. She was born February 6, 1936, in Reedsville, a daughter of the late Roy H. and Alice Roosevelt Fortney Smith.
She had previously worked at Ames, with 20 years of service.
Izetta enjoyed painting, working in her flower bed, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Izetta is survived by two sons, Donald “Donnie” Wayne Goff of Terra Alta, and Terry Allen Goff of Kingwood; one daughter, Patricia Charlene Thomas of Kingwood; nine grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Goff Jr., Connie Savage, Donald Goff Jr., Stacy Sisler, Kelsey Schmidle, Nicole Neppl, Justin Goff, Jamie Thomas and Jennifer Baker; 25 great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Izetta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Archie Goff in 2013; one son, Robert Eugene Goff Sr.; one grandchild, Scotty Lee Goff; one great- great-grandson, Oakley; one daughter-in-law, Marsha Goff; one son-in- law, Gay Dalton; two brothers, Dayton Smith and Margaret, Clifford Smith and Martha; one sister, Virginia Fulk and Floyd.
Family and friends will be received in Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Avenue, Newburg, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, with Chaplain Dennis Lusin officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery.
