The lineup for the upcoming 2025 Ruby Summer Concert Series was announced Tuesday.
The series features 12 free community concerts on Fridays from June through August. Music starts at 7 p.m.
“Summer is coming and it’s hard to believe the Ruby Summer Concert Series only started three years ago, given all the accolades and community support we have received,” Vincent Kitch, Director of the Arts and Cultural Development Department, said. “From winning Best of Morgantown every year to securing Best in Mountaineer Country and Best of West Virginia titles, our audiences have really supported the city’s efforts to provide free summer fun.”
This year’s lineup features nationally touring artists with local/regional opening acts:
June 6: America’s AC/DC Tribute- Thunderstruck with The Delaneys
June 13: Hinder with Gene The Werewolf
June 20: Chase Matthew with Huey Mack
June 27: Los Lonely Boys with Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns
July 11: Huey Lewis Tribute- Heart of Rock & Roll with Rick K.
July 18: Dasha with The Bennett Hall Band
July 25: Village People with Eli & The Mojo Kings
Aug. 1 – Jimmy Buffett Tribute- Changes in Latitude with Steel Away
Aug. 8 – Sierra Hull with The WVU Bluegrass Band
Aug. 15 – Deana Carter with Melissa Quinn Fox
Aug. 22 – Hoobastank with Corduroy Brown
Aug. 29 – Maddie & Tae with The Hobbs Sisters
The City of Morgantown Arts and Cultural Development Department brings a variety of live musical performers to Morgantown each summer, showcasing numerous genres and musical eras in order to appeal to a wide audience.
There will be a selection of food and beverage vendors and free face painting available on-site. The amphitheater is located at 185 Garret Street, set along the banks of the Monongahela River, in Hazel Ruby McQuain Park.
“We are very proud to have over 40,000 visitors, from West Virginia and surrounding states, attend our events each year, making the Ruby Summer Concerts the crown jewel of Morgantown! Thank you to the City of Morgantown, the Hazel Ruby McQuain Charitable Trust and all our incredible sponsors and grant makers who make it possible for us to provide unmatched entertainment free to residents and visitors alike,” Kitch said.
Chairs can be set up after 5:00 p.m. on the day of each event. Saving seats and chairs/blankets within the seating areas is not permitted. No tents, canopies or umbrellas are allowed.
The Ruby Summer Concert Series is presented by the City of Morgantown and the Hazel Ruby McQuain Trust with support from numerous sponsors.
