On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Adam Shea Hewett passed away in Chicago, Ill., at age 43. Adam was born October 2, 1981, in Morgantown.
He was married to Kelly Louise Cosgrove July 20, 2019, and together they raised their beloved dog, Arthur Pendragon Hewsgrove.
Adam graduated from Morgantown High School in 1999 and attended West Virginia University. Like his grandfathers, he was a Free Mason.
Adam was a senior software engineer, entrepreneur, musician, craftsman, artist, and inventor. He started several companies, took many risks, and was not afraid to fail. As a businessman he was creative, undaunted, and almost annoyingly optimistic. But as a person he was gentle, trusting, generous, and loyal. His family is devastated at his loss and will miss him dearly.
Adam is survived by his wife; his parents, Paul and Cleo Hewett; his siblings, Kerry, Kyle and Angela; his father- in-law and mother-in- law, Kevin and Cheryl Cosgrove; as well as his brother-in-law, Patrick Cosgrove and wife Nicole Graf. Adam is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins, in both the United States and England.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Roy and Mary Hewett, and Harold and Lois Dellinger; and his uncle, Harold Dellinger.
A private family service is planned for a later date.
