Disabled Veteran
Michael Edward Todd passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025. He was born July 26, 1959, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Janet Todd Johnson and the late Samuel J. Todd.
He joined the military during the last year of high school, wanting to follow in the footsteps of his father, who served in World War II.
He will always be remembered as a loving son. The worst thing he ever did was skip school. He loved reading and entered the U.S. Navy with a high security clearance.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Todd, whom he married October 31, 2003. Also surviving are three daughters, Samantha Jo Todd, Michelle Todd and Cassandra Todd; two brothers, Joe and wife Rita, and Preston and wife Brenda; two grandchildren, Thomas and Isabella Hughes; stepfather, Jerry Johnson; stepbrother, Kevin and wife Amber of Summersville; mother-in-law, Bernadine, brother-in- law, Andrew; and sister- in-law, Loretta; aunt, Mary and uncle, Bobby Piper.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, was a sister, Jacqueline; a brother, David; his father in law; a niece who died in infancy; his son-in-law, Jeremy Hughes; and his stepbrother, Michael
Johnson.
The family would like to thank Ruby Memorial Hospital, doctors and nurses, and a special thank you to his wife for all the loving care during his extended illness.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. time of service, Friday, March 28, in the Milliken & Throckmorton Home, Inc., 324 Mount Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mount Morris, PA 15349, with Pastor Ron Cralton officiating the service. After his service, please join the family at the Bobtown Civic Center for a small lunch. Interment will be held in West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton, at the convenience of the family.
