Gloria Ann Wassick, 92, of Maidsville, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Born March 7, 1933, in Morgantown, to the late Harry and Anna Goodwin, Gloria was a loving lady with a heart full of kindness.
She dedicated many years of her life working as a clerk in a supermarket before her retirement.
Gloria was an avid lover of nature and flowers, and her hobbies included crafting and ceramics. A faithful West Virginia University basketball fan, Gloria was a season ticket holder for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Wassick; her son, Mark Wassick; her brothers, Lee, Richard, Joseph (Patricia), Robert Goodwin; and her sisters, Lulu Kincaid (Homer), and her three-year-old sister, Patricia Goodwin.
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Rebecca) Goodwin; her sisters, Peggy Goodwin, and Frances (Michael) Bierer; her sister-in- law, Lavenia Goodwin; her faithful feline companion, Princess; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Avenue, Morgantown. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery.
