Larry James Williams

Larry James Williams, 77, of Masontown, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 11, 1947, in Kingwood, a son of the late James J. and June E. Stanton Williams.
Larry proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
After returning from the war, he worked as the lead contractor in the maintenance department at the WVU Physical Plant.
Larry loved hunting, fishing, looking for ginseng, traveling and riding four wheelers. Larry was a simple, good man and easy to get along with.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Karina Shaw-Williams; his two daughters, Anita Bauer and husband Eddie of Arthurdale, and Amanda Williams of Terra Alta; three grandchildren, Hunter Bauer, Broden Knotts, and Logan Williams; sister-in-law, Emily Newsome and husband Adam of Reedsville; brother-in-law, Clayton Shaw and wife Heather of Texas; and a very close family friend, Ryan Sapp.
To honor his wishes, Larry will be cremated. The Field Funeral Home in Masontown will provide compassionate and professional cremation services.
Friends will be received in the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, from 11 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19. Military honors will be provided by the Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG Honor Guard.
