Eleanor F. Clark, peacefully passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Fairmont. Born April 21, 1938, in Granville, Eleanor’s journey was one of profound accomplishment and deep familial bonds.
Eleanor’s memory will be forever treasured by her beloved children, Herb Hall of Fairmont, and Beverly Sue Thomas; as well as her adored grandchildren, Gregory Keith Hall, James Lee Hall, and Amy Nicole Thomas. Her radiant light will be missed by all who knew her.
In her professional life, Eleanor dedicated many years to West Virginia University, touching lives with her culinary skills as a cook before later delighting crowds at the Coliseum with her exceptional service in concessions.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, James Raymond Bowman and Theodicia Metz Bowman; her loving husband, George Clark; dear daughter, Natalie Hall- Johnson; son, James Grubb; and siblings, William Bowman, Keith Bowman, and Betty May Bowman.
Family and friends may gather in McCulla Funeral Home from 3 until the time of a funeral service at 5 p.m. Friday, February 7. Eleanor will be interred with her family at St. George Cemetery, near St. George community in Tucker County, at the convenience of the family.
