Robert “Bob” Keith DeVault, 73, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in Mon Health Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1951, in Uniontown, a son of the late James and Marjorie Stewart DeVault.
Bob was formerly employed at Mylan Pharmaceutical and attended Mt. View Free Methodist Church.
In his free time, he enjoyed family vacations, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was very interested in the history of the Civil War and was very knowledgeable on the subject. Bob was also an avid Mountaineers and Steelers fan.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen DeVault; “special brothers,” Vernon Estel, Michael Shahan; “special sisters,” Kathy Estel, Verna Shahan; “special mother,” Pauline Shahan; nieces and nephews, Andrew Estel (Morgan), Jeremy Shahan (Kim), Chris Estel (Joan), Laura DeLeurere (Zachary), and Bethany Estel (Matthew); great-nieces and nephews, Grady, Graham, Titus and Nolan DeLeurere, June and Miles Estel, Rose and Watson Duggan, Sophia Estel, and Emma, Annabeth and Abigail Shahan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Watson Shahan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Black Hills Free Methodist Camp, 3791 McKinney Cave Road, Reedsville, WV 26547.
Friends and family will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 10, in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, where visitation continues from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, November 11, with Pastors Jeff Stalnaker, Jim Cooley and Kevin Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
