Howard Vincent Rohr, 86, of Route 1, Independence, passed away at Kingwood Healthcare Center on Tuesday July 16, 2024.
He was born in Newburg on Feb. 19, 1938, a son of the late David Rohr and Helen (Bucklew) Rohr.
Howard was a 1956 graduate of Arthurdale High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the operating engineer's union, working in construction and coal mining and later as a courier for WV Caring.
Howard is survived by his wife, Linda (Sypolt) Rohr; son, Todd V. Rohr; two sisters-in-law, Polly Elliot and husband, Joe and Betty Rohr; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David and sister, Wanda.
A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date.
