It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul L. Close in Fort Myers, Fla. on May 25, 2024.
He was born on June 25, 1936, in Morgantown to the late Paul and Irene Close.
Paul served in the Air Force and cherished his time stationed in Germany. He pursued a successful career as an electrician and was a dedicated member of the IBEW.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Rose; his daughter, Carolyn (Clarence) Baker; son, Larry (Lorinda) Close; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Paul’s family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of his final arrangements. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 8, followed by a funeral service in the small chapel in Paul’s honor.
