Donations needed for Blue and Gold Mine Sale

Start cleaning out those closets and garages. The Blue and Gold Mine Sale is returning this year, and donation stations will be available in the community through May 8.

Just pull up to one of the locations between 8 a.m.-8 p.m., unload your items and place them in the pods.

Community donation stations are at Chateau Royale, the top of Falling Run Road, Grant Avenue, Area 81 — Mountaineer Station and College Park Apartments — Willey Street entrance.

WVU residence halls will be collecting items from students through Saturday.

Items accepted include, but are not limited to, furniture, electronics, clothing, sporting goods, seasonal décor, bedding/linens, books, kitchen utensils, storage containers, dishes, small appliances and office supplies. Items that are not accepted include televisions, monitors, mattresses, foam mattress toppers and box springs.

The sale itself will be May 11 at Milan Puskar Stadium, East Concourse (student gate). The early bird sale runs from 7-9 a.m., with regular admission beginning at 9 a.m.
