Photography show on display now at MAA gallery

The Morgantown Art Association will host its 13th Annual Photography Show this month.

This show is for MAA members only. Ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show and first, second and third place in several categories. Michael Sherwin, associate professor of art in the School of Art and Design at WVU, will be the judge. Entries may at the gallery at Mountaineer Mall through April 2. Most of the pieces will be for sale. Hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday.

Th annual “Exhibit 60” is a juried show open to artists who live within a 65-mile radius of Morgantown. It will be exhibited during April and May in the MAA Gallery.

MAA members also display their work at The Morgantown Airport. The current exhibit includes a variety of artwork, and many of the items are for sale.

The Morgantown Art Association is offering watercolor workshops that are open to the public.

  • Steve Griggs ($325 for non-members) — April 4-7
  • Janet Rogers ($325 for non-members) — June 27-30
  • Mick McAndrews ($275 for non-members) — Oct. 3-6

Membership in the Morgantown Art Association is open to all artists, art lovers, and supporters of art in our area. Age requirement is above high school age and yearly dues are $35, this allows you to participate in monthly shows, Kappa Tau, workshops at a discount, and art classes.
