Daniel James Lewis, 64, of Buckhannon, passed away at his home after a battle with cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024.
Danny was born in Morgantown on Oct. 5, 1959, a son of John William Lewis and Mary Lavon (Golden) Lewis.
Danny is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Susan “Sue” Jeanne Mulligan Lewis of Buckhannon; three daughters, Wendy (Wright) Bowen of Fairmont, Jamie (Craig) Owens of Morgantown, and Amanda (Adam) Newman of Lost Creek; mother, Mary Lewis of Morgantown; brother, John Lewis of Morgantown; and ten beloved grandchildren.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, and his brother David Lewis.
Danny attended Morgantown High School and worked in the coal mines for over 20 years. He enjoyed working on cars, home improvement projects, spending time with his family, and spoiling his dogs, Luna and Lyra.
The family would like to express their gratitude to West Virginia Hospice for their kindness and excellent care.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation services are being provided by Clutter Funeral & Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon.
