Helen W. Statler, 101, of Morgantown, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, in the Morgantown Health and Rehab Center.
She was born Oct. 10, 1922, at Core, a daughter of the late Perry Wade and Margaret Raber Wade.
Mrs. Statler was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are three sons, Allen Statler, Sr. of Warren, Ohio, Arnold Statler and his wife Debra of Morgantown, and Eudale Wade and his wife Gladys of Blacksville; eight grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ray Statler; two sisters, Virginia Wall and Kathryn Headland; two brothers, Darrel Wade and Robert Wade; a daughter, Carole Statler Mack; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Tennant Statler; one granddaughter, Traci Mack Crosby and her husband Bobbie Crosby; grandson, Allen Statler, Jr., one great-grandson, Kristfer Helms; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Mack.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, with Pastor Jim Weber officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
