West Virginia wedding expo, a one-stop shop for your special day

Stop by West Virginia’s Premier Wedding Expo this weekend for a one-stop destination for all your wedding planning needs, featuring a variety of West Virginia wedding-related businesses. The event, sponsored by Infinity Studios Event Planning, will take place noon-3 p.m. Sunday at the Erickson Alumni Center. The first hour is reserved exclusively for V.I.P ticket holders.

Planning a wedding in West Virginia can be challenging, and many soon-to-be newlyweds opt for out-of-state wedding venues and services, organizers said, which can increase costs and cause couples to miss out on exceptional local businesses. Infinity Studios Event Planning stepped up to address this oversight by organizing four wedding expos annually, in turn supporting West Virginia businesses and providing resources to couples planning their special day.

“Weddings are a billion dollar a year industry, and West Virginia does not get our fair share of weddings,” said Infinity Studios Event Planning owner Carmela Irwin. “We, unlike other states, do not have the resources available to us that other states provide such as a free directory of all wedding-related businesses. I feel like we’re missing a large opportunity, so we took it upon ourselves to try to promote West Virginia the best way that we can in the wedding industry.”

At West Virginia’s Premier Wedding Expos held throughout the year, a wide array of vendors offers solutions to every item on your wedding to-do list. Attendees will have opportunities to discover and consult photographers and videographers, travel planners, caterers, florists, venue representatives, wedding apparel providers and more. Lavish Bridal and Prom Boutique will host a bridal fashion show starting at 2:15 p.m., showcasing a range of styles and brands, including Christina Wu, Amarra, Moonlight Bridal and Martin Thornburg.

“It has been almost five years since we last had an opportunity to do a wedding gown fashion show, and this is our first collaboration with West Virginia’s Premier Wedding Expo,” said Lavish Bridal and Prom Boutique owner Helen Squires. “We are overjoyed to be conducting the wedding gown fashion show with our beautiful models and brands that we carry.”

Coni & Franc and Daniel’s Men’s Store will also present wedding formalwear through floor modeling.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at InfinityStudiosEventPlanning.com/wedding-expo-2023. They will be available for online purchase until Saturday evening. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The next West Virginia’s Premier Wedding Expo event will be held in February, and tickets will become available at the conclusion of Sunday’s event. Stay up to date with their social media for updates at Facebook.com/WVWeddingExpo or visit their website at InfinityStudiosEventPlanning.com.
