Two transported after Westover accident, third vehicle may have been involved

Two Ohio residents were transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on Fairmont Road in Westover Monday.

Westover Police Patrolman Michael Keeble said the accident is still under investigation, but could confirm at least two vehicles, a GMC traveling southbound and a Ram pickup truck traveling northbound, collided.

“There was an alleged third vehicle that was involved, a sedan, who was not on scene upon police arrival, who was unable to be located,” Keeble said.

The driver and passenger in the pickup truck, who Keeble said were both from Ohio, were transported by ambulance for medical treatment. The severity of their injuries was unknown at the time of this report.

Keeble said both vehicles were towed from the scene and as of Monday afternoon it was unclear who was at fault or why the two vehicles collided.

Anyone with information regarding the accident or the alleged third vehicle involved can call the Westover Police Department at 304-296-6576.
